Looking at Welsh Names
In my attempt to increase my male favourites, I began exploring Welsh names, and shamefully came out with one stand out. Even so, I'm not sure how I feel for it, which comes to my seeking your opinion.
So, how do you feel about:
- Emyr
It means 'king' or 'honourable' in Welsh.
Thanks.

I like it. But it depends on where you live. I don't think it would be easy to live with for a boy/man here in the U.S. Emily and Emma are so wildly popular at the moment and the number of girls going by the nn Em and Emmer make Emyr prohibitive. To me, it's easier for an established boy name like Julian to be popular in the face of the onslaught of Julias. How about Emeric? I could be wrong, but it seems Emyr would be easier to live with in the U.K.
