I like it pronunced dah-nah only. It's a pretty name.

I think it is an ok name.

I love Dana (on a girl only). Daniel or Dane would be nice on a boy though. I love the "DAY" sound in Dana. The DAN-nuh pro. sounds a little boring to me, and the DAH-nuh pro. sounds too much like Donna. Dana is short, sweet, and lovely, and the cool sound makes up for the shortness of the name, or the plain look it has to it. There aren't very many either, so it would be refreshing to see.

I like it on a girl. I know a couple of Danas. I also know one male Dana, but I like it much better on a girl.

I'd assume you're asking about it for a girl since you called it pretty. Which is good because I too think it is pretty on a girl. I don't really like it on a boy though. For a boy I'd prefer just Dane.

I like it. I think the downside would be that it doesn't seem to have a lot of substance to it, but the sound is very pretty.

I quite like it, but I prefer the pronunciation Dah-na, which I think represents another Dana, a female form of Dan.
