There was a Kiel in my year at school. He'd be about 23 now. He pronounced it Keel, although I can see how it could be seen as being pronounced as Kyle.So, I'd pronounce it as Keel, but that's because I've met one before. I'm not sure how I'd pronounce it if I hadn't. Probably if I realised it was German, then Keel; if I didn't, Kyle.There was a Kyle in the same year and everyone mixed their names up.
