I love it for either gender but spelled Elliott.
I prefer it for a boy, it's way too masculine for a girl.

I don't like the show Scrubs so its definitely not after that show. But I guess I can say everyone will assume that's where the name came from and that's just irritating.

I dislike it for a girl. I know one, she's brilliant, but I'd much rather see it on a boy. There are so many great names for girls that begin with El- that I don't understand the purpose of co-opting Elliot.
