My first thought is Imperial Grand Moff Tarkin from Star Wars. Being that he is one of "the bad guys" I don't find it usable but it's really probably just that I'm a nerd.

It doesn't appeal to me because of the harsh sound. Its useable but it just doesn't appeal to me enough to consider it as a name for a future child of mine. I first heard it in a book I read once and it was the name of a nerdy guy who was known as Tarky. =/ I guess it could also be shortened to Quinn which sounds a bit better, imo. Some mn suggestions:
