Kaia sounds very different to me compared to Katrina. It may have some of the same letters, but I don't think it fits really.Don't let a hurricane ruin a name for you. It already ruined the lives of others. If you want to use the name Katrina, use it. Chances are, most people will stop connecting the name Katrina to the hurricane within the next few years.However, if Kaia is your way of honoring your mother, then no one can change that. :]

Why Not?It's not a well-known connection ala Maggie & Margaret, but there is a connection.Kaia to Kaja to Katarina to Katherine ANDKatrina to Katherine.
