I would use these names personally:Girls:Betty
Iris
Lily RoseBoys:Levi
Kai
August These names work well in Swedish. They're simple and sweet.
Then there's some names that are nice enough, so if the father insists on them...Blue and True - But the pronounciation isn't the greatest.
Satchel - I like the sound actually. And the meaning isn't that big an issue here about.
Willow - ok
River - Might get by just.
Sage - Like the sound
Scarlet / Scarlett - although I'm bored with it.

Like but would not use: (mostly BECAUSE of the celebrity naming)
Shiloh [girl]
River [boy]
Phoenix [girl]
Sonora [girl]Other celebrity kids names I like but would not use:
Rafferty
Rowan
Hamish
Maddox
Zahara

Paris...is the only one off of that list that I would use, for a boy. I doubt I'll ever use it though. I have heard a lot of famous people's children's names that I do like and if I liked them enough I'd use them. I would never avoid it just because someone famous named their child it.

If I liked a name that was extremely rare and a celebrity got there first, yeah, I'd probably avoid it. I don't actually like many names that are that uncommon- probably if a celebrity used Michal, Sévérine or Zalman, say, I wouldn't use them. (I don't plan to use any of those right now, but they're on my long list.) If a celebrity named her daughter Alice or Joanna, they wouldn't go off my list. My concern with sharing a name with a celeb-kid is the same as sharing a name with any famous person or character: that the kid not be constantly associated with that particular person/character. Hermione is unfortunatly out, but Martha is okay.Of your list, I like very few names. My taste does not run with that of celebs! I would (be willing to) use these:
Betty [girl] - As a nickname for Elizabeth. I love it!
Iris [girl]
Levi [boy]
Paris [boy and girl] - Boy only.
August [boy and girl] - On a boy only.
Clementine [girl]
Billie [girl] - As a nickname for Wilhelmina or Sybil.
Basil [boy]
Poppy [girl]
Florence [girl] - I adore this name!I wouldn't use, but like (and don't find them too connected to one celeb's kid):
Atticus [boy and girl] - Girl? Did a celebrity seriously name a daughter Atticus? That's a horror for the ages. I like it on a guy.
Blossom [girl]
Hero [girl]
Ziggy [boy] - As a nickname for Siegfried. My mate was just telling me last night that he wants to have a kid named Ziggy. Hah.

I like Ireland, and that's about it. I also have a wee thing for Brooklyn (on a boy), but I'd never use it a) because my name is Brooke and b) because it's too 'trendy'ETA: I didn't see it on the list, but Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams' daughter's name Matilda is one I would definitely use, as well as Violet (Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck).

Apple -- I actually think this is kind of cute. For some reason I have a thing for fruit names. Go figure.
Atticus -- Wonderful on a boy. Horrible on a girl.
Banjo -- Rednecky.
Betty -- Very cute and traditional. It would be nice to see this name used every once in a while.
Blue -- nms but not too bad.
Dexter -- All I can think about is the old cartoon Dexter's Laboratory. And he was a boy.
Dixie -- Chicks.
Gulliver -- 's Travels
Iris -- Love it beyond words. Really, I do. Botanical names are going to be my downfall, I swear!
Levi -- Strauss
Ocean -- Never liked it, never will. But lots of people do. It's not really the word thing that does it, actually. I just think it sounds really ugly, no offense.
True -- or Dare
Sonnet -- I can actually see the name-ish-ness of this, but at first glance I thought it said bonnet lol!
Pilot -- Definately not. It's something that would be sort of ok on a dog.
Racer -- this is a bigtime GP of mine. I think it's because I run...
Rebel -- lol this one, too. I really like it, honestly =P
Rocket -- Same as Racer and Rebel. I read about this sibset before (can't recall whose kids they are), but I really do like it. Imagine how horrified the babysitter must be!
Satchel -- as in purse? Offense, IMO.
Seven -- ?
Willow -- It's growing on me
Shiloh -- I know you really love this one, but all I can think about is the beagle.
River -- Getting more used to this one
Lyric -- for some reason I really dislike this too. There's plenty of word names that I like, but Lyric seems a kind of stupid choice out of every word out there. Oh well, to each her own.

I'd use Sage, Phoenix, Storm, or Scarlett because they're all pretty. I might be deterred from using Scarlett by Gone with the Wind, though.

If it was a name I truely loved, and it wasn't such an unusual/singular name that it was associated solely with that celebrity baby, then I would use the name. Iris and Willow would be okay, for instance, but Shiloh, Apple, and Suri would not. From this list I like:
Atticus (b)
Dexter (b)
Iris (g)
Levi (b)
Piper (g)
August (b)
Scarlett (g)
and either Lily or Rose, but not Lily Rose. Lily Rose sounds like a mutated plant.

I would use Betty (which is not unusual) because its my grandmothers name and I would maybe use Romeo.

I personally don't like these sorts of names, so it doesn't really matter to me whether a celebrity uses them or not. However, I do love names like Matilda, Violet, and Henry, all which were used recently by celebs. I would worry a bit about using some of them, and people associating my Violet with Violet Affleck, or thinking I'm just a huge Ben Affleck/Jennifer Garner fan, but hopefully most wouldn't think that since it's not a hugely unusual name/only associated with them. Shiloh, though, is rather unusual and will be highly connected to Brangelina's baby for a long, long time to come, I believe. So there is a difference. From your list, I like:
Atticus - boy only
Dexter - boy only
Dixie [girl] - GP
Iris [girl]
Levi [boy]
True [girl] - GP
Willow [girl]
River - boy only
August - boy only
Sonora [girl]
Lily [girl]

I ADORE Atticus, but...... using it on a girl is cruel.

I think it depends on the name. Like Shiloh and Suri are very associated with celebrity babies, but most of these names like River, Iris, August, etc. I think are safe from that association and I would consider using them.

Names I would actually consider using are Piper and Kai, but some other ones are nice on someone else's kids

My ViewI would use the name if I liked it enough or if it has special meaning for me regardless if it's been on a celeb kid I'd use it because they don't own the names so all names are fair game IMO famous or not. Below is what I'd use any why and gender preference:
Has a Special Meaning:
Ocean [boy] - love of the ocean
Shiloh [boy] - religious meaning
River [boy and girl] - same as Shiloh
Lyric [boy] - love of music
Story [boy or girl] - has more of GP to it though - love to read
London [boy or girl] - always loved England
Romeo [boy] - love Romeo & Juliet play/book
Cruz [boy or girl] - same as Shiloh
Phoenix [girl] - love phoenix birds
Ireland [girl or boy] - always loved Ireland [would love to you there]
Harlow [boy] - taken fron Stand By Me one of my fave films
Rain [boy and girl] - love the rain
Reignbeau [girl] - Rainbow, MN (though Reignbeau is GP for me) - same as Shiloh and my love for rainbows
Names I just like:
Liberty [girl or boy]
Freedom [boy] - MN
Clementine [girl] - GP
Billie [girl]
Basil [boy or girl]
Schuyler [girl or boy]
Heaven [girl]
Emerson [boy]
Autumn [girl] - GP
Poppy [girl]
Tiger Lily [girl] - Tigerlily
Ace [girl] - GP
Blossom [girl] - MN
Jaid [boy] - Jade, MN boy, again more as a GP
Mackenzie [boy]

Well, celebs typically use words that aren't names so when a celebrity uses it as a name then it is obvious that most if not all subsequent children with the same name were named after the celeb baby. Therefore, I think the names I would use that celebs have used would just be typical names. So, if they used it obviously it isn't from them because the name already has a history instead of being borne by a celeb baby. I would use the following names that you listed.Atticus (only on a boy)
Iris [girl]
Levi [boy]
Kai (boy only)The rest are not my style or are ridiculously over the top and "look at me, I'm a creative person and/or celebrity"

I like these names, but doubt most of them are usable here:For girls, all those naturey flower names. I tried out what they would be in Swedish, just for fun...Poppy - 'Vallmo'
Tiger Lily - 'Tiger Lilja'
Saffron - 'Saffran'
Bluebell - 'Blåklocka', the 'å' is a no go, as is 'ä' and 'ö', those letters aren't international enough.
Dandelion - 'Maskros'; never ever, it's much prettier in English. I don't think of the flower when I hear Dandelion actually. 'Maskros' means 'worm rose' really. Ugh.
Lark - 'Lärka', sweet, pity there's an 'ä'.
Summer - 'Sommar'
Blossom - people would think she was named after a Swedish celebrity, so no.
Clementine - just too close to the fruit.Florence - Though I prefer Flora and Fleur.
Grier - Spellt as Greer
Boys:
Schuyler - my GP
Emerson - George Emerson!
Ace - I think it's cool, I can't help myself.
