DH prefers that harder one (I guess its between EE/ Eh / Uh-LIE-us) and I still like (ELLE-lee-us) the softer one.

I pronounce it ee-LIE-iss (like kiss at the end without the k).

I"ve always pronounced eh-LIE-as

I say it e-LEE-ahs

I say it EE-lie-ahs

I say it like "el-EE-ahs"

I say ELLE at the beginning

EEE, for me too.
We have a friend who is named Elias, unfortunately he is always called by his nick-name, Loulie.

I've met one person with this name, his name was Samuel Elias. and he pronounced it EEE-lie-us

I say eh-LIE-as. ee-LIE-as sounds overly forced to me.

When I say it, it comes out more like Uh-lie-us.

i say it like Elle, but more Uh. Eh, almost Uh is the best way to explain it. It may depend on the local accent. Whereabouts are you from?
