Elisabeth vs. Elizabeth
Which one do you prefer?
Personally I like Elisabeth with the nn Elsa, Elsie or Elise. I actually used to hate this name because it was so common and in my opinion ordinary, but recently it has grown on me. I was just curious on what others thought about it.

Elisabeth
I prefer Elizabeth because it feels 'stronger,' if that makes sense.

I prefer Elizabeth because it is the only spelling that has been used in my family that I know of.
I definitely prefer Elisabeth
Elisabeth is one of my top three favorites for a girl, so I absolutely love it! The popularity of the name doesn't bother me, and spelled with the "s", it just doesn't seem as much so. I think it's so classy and feminine.
I don't mind the spelling Elizabeth, but I tend to think that Elisabeth seems softer. It's a gorgeous name regardless, though.

Ditto - Elisabeth seems softer

Elizabeth & Elizabeth only imo. I'd use Lizzie as the nn.
:)
:)
Elizabeth. I doen't look right with an 's' but I suppose that I've only every really seen it with a 'z'.
I prefer Elisabeth.
I prefer the look of Elisabeth but it would depend on the nn I'd use (which is the only reason I'd use Elisabeth / Elizabeth in the first place). If I were going for Elisa, Elise, Elsa or Lisette, I'd spell it Elisabeth. If I planned to call her Lily, Betsy, Bess, Beth or Libby, I'd spell it Elizabeth.
I like both, but I personally prefer Elisabeth. I like the softer look of the 's', plus it's my middle name. ;)
I'm not crazy about either, but I prefer Elisabeth.
I dislike either spelling just because of the overuse and ubiquitousness of the name in general (even though I loved the name when I was younger). It's a classic name, not trendy, but still grossly overused, IMO. I prefer Elizabeth, only because I want to say Elisa-beth with Elisabeth. I prefer Elise, Elsie, and Elsa as names on their own, rather than just as nn's for Elizabeth / Elisabeth. But all those names are used as nn's for both spellings, not just Elisabeth, just because it has an 's' in it. Nicknames don't always totally resemble the name for which they are a short form. Remember, Peggy is a nn for Margaret. ;)
Elizabeth
Elisabeth all the way. It's my name actually, but I've always liked it better with an S anyway.
It is a bit common, but I think it's pretty and practical at the same time. However, I just don't really like the name on me; I believe it doesn't really suit me.

I like Elisabeth better. I think it looks a lot softer and more feminine. I also think it has better nickname possibilities.
I'm in the group who hates the name. But if I had to choose, it would be Elisabeth. It looks softer and has more nn possibilities.
