If i ever have a daughter this name is front runner right now. I prn it with a slight "ah" sound but if you say it fast enough it can sometimes sound like LEE-din too. I noticed Link said that the nn Lee cheapens it (or something close to that) and I have previously acknowledge that I would use it myself from time to time but I think if you look at the reality of the situation you may not always call your children by their full name. Say you had a Josephine running around. I doubt you would call her by her full name every single time you needed something, or rather, if you were in a hurry or angry. She may get called Jo from time to time. That is the only reason I list Lee beside the name. It is not what she would be called the majority of the time.
to sum haha....I love this name in both pronunciations because they are so close. The nn doesn't matter as it is you who will be saying it the most, so choose what you like best.
