Alison
I am starting to like Alison quite a bit. Yes, yes, I know it's originally a boy's name and it contains "son"; but, other than that do you like any of these combos? Do you have any other suggestions?
Edited because I forgot to put combos!
Alison Junia
Alison Devorah
Alison Clover
Alison Daphne
Alison Fiona
Alison Indira
Alison Juliet
Alison Simone
Alison Sparrow
Alison Violet
Alison Winona
Alison Zoe

Alison Daphne....Although....?
I go to school with two. One is spelled Alison and the other Allison. However both go by a nickname -- the same one just spelled different.
Ali is the average one -- soccer player with decent grades in CP (college prep) classes.
Alli is in most of my classes -- honors -- excluding History. Not fascinatingly smart, but not the bottom of the barrel. Middle name is Kelby after, I believe, her father.

Others have covered the fact that Alison is a mediaeval form of Alice, not a -son name.
I love Alison and would use it if it wasn't for the fact that I already have so many girls' names ending in 'n' on my list!

Alison is pretty good. I like Alison Juliet the best. Hmm...Alison with most of the names that have anne or anna go good like Hannah, Diana, Diane, Suzanne, Savannah. I prefer the spelling Allison and since it is more popular (though Alison is not uncommon) people will often mispell her name Allison instead of one l. I do not mind the "son" part at all.
Alison does not have "son"
Alison is Alice + on, not Ali + son. It's very old and while it's occasionally used on boys, it's not a boy's name. I like it but don't love it. It's a little modern for me, but a nice name.
Alison Daphne, Alison Juliet, and Alison Violet are gorgeous! I love Junia, Indira and Simone but not with Alison.

you're right
for some reason in my mind I had lumped it together with Courtney and a few others that were formerly mainly masculine names. Oops.
