Sol?

I knew a girl named Sol in elementary school who was awesome, so I really like the name on a girl. (I actually ran into her the other day - I rang her up at my work.)
I also like it on a boy as a nn for Solomon. I pronounce them differently, though - the girl I knew pronounced it like the word "soul" while I would pronounce the nn like SAWL - rhyming with Paul.

Yes, I was also thinking of it being spoken like SOUL. not SAWL, but now that I think of it. I wouldn't like it on a boy.
I like it as a nn for Soleil, and maybe even on it's own. it's cute.
LOVE it as a nn for Solomon.
Post under ONE name ONLY please, Michelle / Tina
It is strictly against the rules to use more than one posting name. You must choose one name and stick to it.
There is already a Michelle who posts here occasionally, so Tina would be the better choice. Please reply to this post using the username you are going to stick to from now on.

Hmm, I am tempted to say a firm no without thinking. All I think of is the sun and I don't feel like it's a name.
On the other hand, it's kind of cute, especially if the kid is really happy-go-lucky.
I guess after a few minutes, I do like it but only as a nn.

I sort of like it.
