Anyway, the main character's name is Taryn. What do you think of it? Which do you prefer: Tara or Taryn?

I prefer Taryn, which I really rather like. When I hear it, I'm reminded of one of the girls from Stephanie S. Tolan's Welcome to the Ark, so it escapes the trendy vibe for me--it still feels off-beat to me, thanks to the character.
Besides that, I've never met a RL Taryn, and I've met many a Tara, most of whom haven't been very nice.
