Neus
I'm pretty fond of four-letter N names (Neva, Nova, Nina, Nava), so I was thrilled when Neus was recommended to me. I love the meaning (Click on it, it's legit), but I'm not sure how it would fair in the US. It looks very masculine when it's not.Wdyt?

I see noose as well, but...there is also a river near my house called the Neuse River. And the meaning is pretty actually Neus River could be a nice combo and the meaning of "snow river" would be beautiful.

Wow..when you said that it wasen't masculine I was like "yeah right! Of course it's masculine!". *LOL*I love it, but for a boy..I guess it sounds masculine because it ends in -us and remind me of Zeus.

I love Nala. That's not one I've had. I prefer Noa for a girl and Noach for a boy, though.Oh wow - Nala is masculine. It makes sense if you think of it, though. Guess I'll stick to Nila.

All I see is "noose". Love the meaning though.

At first glance, I assumed it was masculine and rhymed with Zeus, which then sounds like "noose". :-/ NEH-oos is how it's supposedly prn. according to the Comments sections, which is kind of difficult to say, imo. I could see it as a mn, though.

I don't think I like it. It conflicts with so many things. I want to say Zeus, noose, knee-us, etc. I want to like it based on the way it looks but it isn't quite working.

It looks quite masculine, I think because it looks like Zeus. But it's short, sweet and has a lovely meaning. I think it would fair ok. It's not overly complicated, and as for the masculine thing, I wouldn't worry considering todays surname trends.
