Axelle
I just ran across the name of a gal who has an online yarn shop. Her name is Axelle. I've never seen that name before. What do you think of it? It kind of reminds me of Microsoft Excel, but maybe it doesn't to you. Any possible combos you can think of?

It's one of my GPs! I have a character in my writings (who is one of the favorite characters that I've written) named Axelle.
The combo Axelle Juliet just came into my head, and I'm really liking it.

It's an interesting enough name, and not too uncommon in French-speaking countries. The "ax" part bothers me a bit.

I really like it.
LOL, I just watched Hostel 2 (I know, I'm a sick puppy) and this was the name of a character in it. It's just a bit strange to me, seems made-up (even though it's not), like someone loved Axyl Rose and wanted to name their daughter after him. :b
ETA: More than MS Excel, it makes me think of the verb "excel", as in 'I excel in math'.

Sorry, I don't like it. The "ax" beginning is just too harsh. The similarity to Microsoft Excel never would've occurred to me, but now that you've mentioned it, I'm sure I'll never be able to get the connection out of my head.
I kind of like! it
