Nickname help for Cecily
So we still have a few months left, but I'd like to settle on a nn for Cecily. I have a feeling I will call her things like Cessa-bug and Silly Lily, but those won't be things other people will call her. I'd hate to start calling her Winnie (for mn Winifred) and confuse her about what her name is.
Does Cessa sound strange by itself? Is Lily too much of a stretch? I'm not sure I like Cece or Cici, but other than that or Cissy (which DH doesn't like) I can't really think of anything.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Edited because I accidentally posted in the middle of a sentence.

I think Cessa would definitely work and I love Lily as a nn! I like Cissy/Sissie too.

I imagine that if I had a Cecily, I would wind up calling her "Sil" fairly often.
Cessa is quite nice though and I think it's workable.

I think just calling her Cecily is enough, or just call her by her middle name

Cecily is a nice name, good choice. though I can't help you with a nn, because the only ones I think of off the top of my head are the ones you've already named. and I don't particularly like any of them.

Cecily nn Cessa sounds lovely, and occassional Cessa-bug is beyond cute :) I like Cece as well. Lily is a bit of a stretch, but if you really wanted it then I'm sure it could be done. I'm afraid I don't have any other suggestions.

Cecily Winifred is gorgeous, btw. I think if I used Cecily, I would just call her Cecily, except every now and again maybe Cess, Cece, Silly, etc. like you mentioned. I don't care for Cess or Cessa on a regular basis--reminds me of a sess pool. :-/ Lily could work, but Cecily is such a pretty, underused name, it'd be a shame for her to start going by Lily most of the time. I guess one doesn't need to worry about that yet, though, huh? :b A few other ideas (mostly just for occasional nn's):
Cecil - SESS-il or SEE-sil
Lee or Lia or LeeLee
Essa or Essie
Cilla

Why not just leave it Cecily? I know a 30 something year old Cecily who is called just that.BTW, I love the name!

I like Cessa a lot, actually.
I'm not big on Cissy either. Ceci would be a nice alternative to that too.Cecily Winifred is a lovely combo, by the way.
