I guess Alabama is one of the new "it" names for celebs. It doesn't bother me, but I can't say I'm a fan.Gypsy Rose is tacky.

Gypsy Rose would be lovely, but I don't like Alabama.

The use of Gypsy as a name bugs me to no end. I have some Roma ancestry, but the Gypsy Rose Lee connection is silly anyway. Ugh.

I really like Gypsy Rose (Gypsy was one of my favourite names for years), but Alabama sounds really odd with it.

Wow, poor thing.

Her name isn't much of a surprise, considering her father is named Shooter. Bad naming apparently runs in the family.

Rose is beautiful.

That's really weird. It looks like some Roma named Rose who lives in Alabama. It seems a lot of celebs are fascinated by the name Alabama, I don't really understand why, since, maybe wrongly, the state has connotations of poverty, racism, etc.
As concerns Gypsy, that's another name I don't get. The term is considered un-PC these days and I've seen it on animals.

I believe it's after Gypsy Rose Lee (real name Louise), the Burlesqeue performer (the musical Gypsy is about her life). Which makes it quite heavy-handed. I also dislike Alabama.

Agreed. Gypsy is finally being seen as a rude term but people don't seem to care because they name their children it fairly often nowadays. Wait, in 20 years when someone hears their name that person will think, "Wow, why not just name her Cracker or Wetback?"Sounds harsh, but there is definately some truth there.
