vahl-DEN-ee-yuh, I assume? I think it's neat--it sounds very Germanic to me, perhaps because I find it reminiscent of names like Waldemar. It strikes me as the sort of name a battle maiden might end up with in an opera, which I find appealing. :D Sounds very strong to me.
