I think Caitlin Victoria is a great name. I could understand if she wanted to change her fn, b/c it is too common or she just does not like it. But what is there to dislike so much about a mn, that you would go to the trouble to change it?

Without knowing the reason, I cannot come up with any suggestions. I like old-fashioned and feminine names (like Victoria) but maybe your friend does not like such names?

Caitlin Victoria is a pretty name. I have a very common name (I'm not crazy about that fact), but I don't think that it's worth legally changing. I sometimes use the nickname Jae just so I can feel slightly different. Maybe she can pick a more unusual nickname that isn't too different from Caitlin or Victoria (i.e. Cai, Cay, Cail, Cal, Linnie, Linna, Cailie, etc.) There is nothing wrong with Caitlin Victoria. Most people don't even talk about their middle names anyways, so I don't think that it's really worth changing a middle name unless it's offensive and embarrasing. That's just my opinion though.
