I've always adored my middle name :) I think it's timeless, suits the individual with the many nns, is familiar, yet not common in a trendy sort of way. Elizabeth was one of my potential fns, nn Beth. I do love Beth, also Lizzy but I think if I had a little Elizabeth, she would be my little Izzie :) Saying that, I also like Lily, Ellie and Bess. Cannot stand Libby, though. No reason, just can't. I do also like Elisabeth, nn Lissie :)And Allizabeth? *cries*

To be honest, I hate Elizabeth. (Weird?) It sounds pompeus and pretentious and really heavy... But I love many forms of Elizabeth or nicknames for it, like:Beth
Bess
Libby / Ibbie
Liz
Eliska and Alzbeta - the Czech forms
Ellie
Lisbeth

I love the name Elizabeth (though I prefer it spelled Elisabeth, personally). I think it's such a classy, feminine name that ages well and fits a baby, a little girl, or a woman. So pretty imo! :-)My favorite nicknames are Ella & Ellie. I think Lily, Beth, Lily-Beth, and Elise are cute, too. Eliza, Elisa, Libby, Liz, and Lizzie are all dnmsaa.

I like the name and I only like the spelling Elizabeth. I think a name of this standard can always be used and will always sound pretty. Imo it never sounds dated and it suits a female of any age. My fave nn for Elizabeth is Lizzie. I think it's so cute and I love the sound and feel of it. It also makes me think of one Miss Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bennet, so that's not a bad thing.

I love Elizabeth, it is classy and beautiful. Unfortunately it is also wildly popular, but that just goes to show how timeless it really is. My favorite nn are Elsie, Beth, Libby and Betsy.

I prefer Elspeth.

I like Elizabeth. It's been incredibly popular for an incredibly long amount of time. I normally would think that Ellie or Ella was a good nickname, but they're so popular and trendy as first names right now. So I think Libby and Lily would be my favourite nicknames.

I like the name, but prefer it spelled Elisabeth, which looks softer to me.
Beth is the obvious nickname, I guess, but definitely my favourite.

I like the name; although it's not one I'd use it's one I'd like to see on someone else - I've only known one Elizabeth ever I think!
I like Beth, Bessie (but not just Bess), Libby, and Eliza.

I like Elizabeth, especially for a first name. As a middle name, it's so tired. I'm fed up with seeing it as a middle name anymore. As for nicknames, I think I love most of them: Ella, Elle, Elise, Beth, Betsy, Libby, Bess...

I adore Elizabeth! In fact my second favorite combo is Elizabeth Kathleen nn Libby. Even though it's shown to be very popular I've only known a few Elizabeths and I went to 4 different schools so that says a lot. Plus, I only know one Elizabeth, the others went by Libby, Liz, or Beth.I like most of the nn's for Elizabeth, but the only one I'd ever use is Libby. I knew a girl in high school named Libby and she was so cute and sweet that the name leaves a good impression on me.Alizzabeth is a tragedy. It's taking a perfect good name and making it raunchy.

I don't like Elizabeth at all. It is far too plain, both as a fn and as a mn. I do like some its nns, like Eliza, Libby, Ella, Ellie, and Bess.

I love the name Elizabeth! There are so many nice nicknames. My sister Elizabeth is called Lizzy and I really like that. My favorite nickname is Betsy.

Bess.Hands down. I don't really like the modern nicknames, though I understand them. I think Elizabeth is cute, very classic, but very overused. It's my name, and I've never had a problem with it. I do prefer it with a nn, though.

I love Elizabeth. It's a classic, beautiful, strong name, and has enough different nicknames that no matter how common it is, two or even 10 Elizabeths won't get mixed up.I like a lot of nicknames for it but am leaning toward the B- ones lately. Bess, Betty, Betsy, Bet, Beth. Bess is, right now, my favourite. I also like Eliza.

Elizabeth is nice although it doesn't really wow me due to constant use. In fact, I prefer its nicks (but only as nicks) to the full name. My favorites are Lily, Ellie, Bess, Betsy and Beth.

I adore Lily as a nickname for Elizabeth, as well as Beth. I know a girl who goes by Beth, even though her real name is Elizabeth. I dislike Liz and Lizzie as nn for Elizabeth. Ellie and Ella are cute.

Elizabeth is a nice classic, although a bit boring.
I don't really care for Beth and Ella, and really dislike Libby although the Hebrew meaning "my heart" is cute. Just don't use Elspeth because imho it's very frumpy...

I love Elisabeth, and my fave nns are Bessie and Lisa.

I love Elizabeth! I think it would suit a baby very well or anybody for that fact since it has so many nickname options.

I love Elizabeth. But one bad thing about it is its popularity. I say this based upon the popularity charts, but actually I've only known one Elizabeth my entire life, and that was thirty years ago in middle school. I haven't met any little girls named Elizabeth either. So to me personally it doesn't seem overused. The problem I have is that I don't like ANY of the nicknames for it. But if I had to choose one, I'd say Eliza. My parents almost named me Elizabeth, incidentally, but ultimately decided against it.
