Nicknames for girls that I'm liking
At the moment I have a bit of a thing for boyish nicknames on girls. I have used some for stories but would consider using them in real life. I would register a full name but wouldn't really use it (except Frances which I like). Anyway, what are your opinions on these names? (Nicknames only, not the full names). Thank you.
Bobbie (Roberta)
Georgie (Georgina)
Frankie (Frances)
Mattie (Matilda)(pronounced Mattie, not Maddie)
Jo (Joanna)

I'm not crazy about Bobbie/Bobby at all. Roberta is one of the boyish names that I don't like because it doesn't sound very nice, in my opinion.
Georgie is lovely. My 4th favorite combo is a Georgiana NN Georgie. I'd rather see Georgiana or Georgia, because I never liked the "Gina" sound.
Frankie for Frances is awesome. There's a girl at the camp I work at that's named Frances, and I always call her Frankie.
Mattie for Matilda is like my 2nd favorite combo. I like it better than Tilly, and I think it looks adorable.
Jo for a girl is okay, just not my style.

I do like the boyish nicknames, though I'd rather that the full name be used too. You could probably find one with a looser connection that you actually like as well as the nickname. My favourite of those is probably Jo/Joanna or Frankie/Frances. The only one I really don't like is Mattie/Matilda because she will get lost in the sea of Maddies no matter how much you articulate the T sound. I'd go with plain Matt if you want a male nn for Matilda (though I like Tillie better by a mile, honestly).
