Heidi
My name is Heidi, and i'm wondering what people honestly think of it. I like it, and I'm confident with it, so just be honest about what you think, my feelings won't be hurt.

Sorry, but I read a book about a prostitute named Heidi and have never lost the conotation. There is also a children's book about a German girl Heidi so it makes me think of her too (she wasn't very noce).
The first time I heard it on a real person was when Heidi Klum was dating Flavio Biattore(sp?) and that didn't make me any fonder of the name.

Makes me think of a little girl with pigtails.

I don't care for it at all. Others have mentioned its being a dog name. It was the name of the German Shepherd we had when I was a child, and that's all I can really think of when I hear it. My older sister always said that it was a nickname for Adelheide, so it also seems too nick-namey for me.

I love it. I think it's a very cute name on a little girl, but it suits a teenager, adult and elderly woman just as well. Very sweet name.

I love it, but it wouldn't be one I would use. I like hearing it.

I like the name Heidi. It took me a while to get over the children's book character. But once I met an adult Heidi, it was pretty easy.(I adore Adelaide / Adelheid.)

I think it's adorable. It reminds me of the classic book Heidi, which is one of my favorites. Heidi is cute without being cutesy. I think it would age nicely too.-Tara-

In Germany Heidi is extremely old fashioned and it is just too connected to the novel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heidi , therefore it makes you think of some little girl that lives high up in the mountains with goats in an very old fashioned way.

I think it's a sweet name, although I wouldn't use it myself.

I used to find it very stereotypical, partly because everyone in my classes writing about blonde children called them Heidi. But I met an older woman named it, and I found that it can suit anyone really :) I like it, but not enough to use it.

I like it! My cousin's name is Heidi Magdalene (she's German). Anyways, I like it because it's not that common and it's still pretty.
