Re: Names for a Russian Blue
in reply to a message by Siri
If you want to keep with the Russian theme, I'd suggest:
Boris :-D My favorite.
Dima
Fedor
Filat
Ivan
Lev, if you're willing to go monosyllabic; it is appropriate, after all.
Miron
Motya
Rurik
Timur; comes with an interesting namesake.
Viktor
Maksim
Pavel
Or other Slavic names:
Radek / Radko
Havel
Kamil
Marek
Filip
Penko
Valko
Some of them are completely stereotypical, but since it's a cat, there's not much of a point in being subtle. :-P

Mirko
I like Mirko as well. I'm into -ko endings. Well, at least for this specific naming situation I'm into -ko endings. Can't say they're going to suddenly shoot up my personal human naming charts. My own pets are Eustace, Hermia, and Chet--pet names have fewer boundaries. :-)
A friend of mine has a male cat named Ariel, though I never remember to ask him if the meaning was intentional.
