Iris and Rowan
I've really taken a liking to the name Iris lately, which is weird because I usually like names that are thought of as "different". And I've also fallen in love with Rowan--boy or girl. WDYT?

I adore Iris, which isn't common for babies AT ALL where I live, but I see it a lot on this site which makes me think it will rise in popularity here in the states fairly soon. :( As for Rowan, I also adore it but ONLY for a boy. :)

I love Iris, it's the prettiest name in the whole wide world imho, and I like Rowan for a boy.

I love Rowan for both sexes, but even more so for a girl. Combos like Rowan Adriana, Rowan Ophelia, are my favourites.I'm not so fond of Iris. It isn't very attractive to my ears, and although I can see it getting popular again, I still find it too dated._____________________________________________________________________Elinor"Well-behaved women rarely make history."

I like them both. I think I prefer Rowan for a boy, but I like it for a girl too.

Iris is nice, but I only like Rowan for a boy coz it reminds me of Rowan Atkinson. What about Rowanne, Rowanna, Rowenna???

I really like Iris, but I'm partial since it's my mom's name. I think it's so pretty and one of those "flower" names you don't hear often enough.I like Rowan only for a girl. It's a GP for me, and has really grown on me lately.

I really like Iris and Rowan as a sister/brother sibling set. Since Iris is a feminine name, I would go with another feminine name (rather than a unisex name) to compliment Iris for another girl.

iris is a nice name, not one of my favs but it will age well...rowan i just don't like b/c it reminds me of Rowan Atkinson, who plays Mr. Bean, which is not a good association, but if you don't know Mr. Bean you're ok. I suppose its an alright name if separated from him. ~Linda

I like them both, and as a sib set it's lovely as they are both botanical names.

I like the name Iris but it's not my favorite. I love the name Rowan for both a girl and a boy. I used to like it just on a girl but have started to like it on a boy too.

I LOVE the name Iris! I think it's actually pretty different, but in a good way, not like McKayLee would be.Sorry, but I really hate the name Rowan. It just is ugly to me. I also hate "unisex" names in general, because usually they're not actually unisex, and the other gender has stolen them.
