Noa
What do you think of Noa for a girl? Sarai "renamed" me Noa the other day and it's been on my mind ever since. I love its spunk and simplicity, though at the same time though I think it would cause some complications as a first name for a girl (i.e. gender, spelling). I'd like to use it as a middle name instead, but it's been difficult coming up with combos. Alice Noa came to mind, but that's too short even for me.Thoughts on the name itself and any other first name ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :D

I love it. It's been on my list, though not high enough that I'll likely use it. I think it's wonderful though.

I don't like it. I only like Noah (this spelling) for a boy.

My nephew is Noah so naturally, I see it as a masculine name but I understand this spelling is used for females (especially in Israel). I believe one of the late ex-PMs of Israel (Rabin?) had a gd named Noa.

I adore Noa. It could become a problem with all the little boy Noah's that are running about these days but it is an absolutely fabulous and unique name. It doesn't seem to fit very well in the middle name spot just for purposes of flow but I'll give it a tryAlison Noa

Virginia NoaI think Sapphira Noa and Scarlett Noa are my favorites. Curious, what are your thoughts on Saffron Noa? Does the running together of the n's bother you? Thanks again! :D

SaffronThe running together of the n's don't bother me at all. I think the flow is great, actually. Its different if it's like S's running together because it's kind of harsh and sounds like hissing but I barely notice any running together. Saffron Noa's very pretty, IMO. Sapphira and Scarlett were my favourites, too! =)

I love it.It's too bad most people wouldn't understand that isn't a male name! I especially love the meaning - motion. I'm still tempted to use it as a first name. Using it as a middle name is slightly hard. What about Alexandra Noa, Adeline Noa...argh, I'm no good at this. But I do love the name!

That's weird, as soon as I posted the OP I thought of Adeline Noa! It's very nice, as is Alexandra Noa. Thanks. :D
