Re: Iris

I love Iris, too. I think it's probably the most user-friendly flower name right now: it's uncommon and the long I-sound is very appealing.Iris Lily- The flow is nice, but the combo is too flowery. Iris Amelia- Very nice.Iris Gabriella- Nice.Iris May- Sounds a bit too choppy.Iris Rose- too flowery plus the combo sounds too abrupt. Iris Elizabeth- Blah. Elizabeth, along with Rose, should retired from the middle name spot for a few generations.Iris Violet- Too flowery.Iris Grace- Ditto what I said about Elizabeth and Rose, plus both names ending with the same 'S' sound isn't very flattering.Iris Katherine- Meh, it's ok, but not terribly exciting. I have a feeling that in the near future, Katherine is going to become a filler middle name along with Elizabeth, Rose and Grace.Iris Penelope- This is probably the most interesting combo on the list. Both names complement each other well, plus Penelope is an exciting name.Iris Augustine- I like this one, too. Because of the '-tine- ending, I've always viewed this names as being rather feminine, but there's St. Augustine...Iris Winter- I don't happen to like Winter as a name, but in the middle name spot I think it's fine.Iris Autumn- It doesn't have the most flattering sound, plus it's awkward to say.
