WDYT of Kaia?
Exactly the question! Plus, do you think it can stand on its own or would you prefer it as a nn for a full name (if yes, any suggestions)?Kaia:YES? NO?

Kaia is very pretty I think its fine on its own.

Well, since it's my daughter's name... I love it. ;) It stands well on it's own and unless you like nicknames, it can't be shortened. I've gotten many compliments on it... but many raised eyebrows. LOLWe used the middle name Eve (very long last name!).

I really like Kaia and I like it best on it's own.

It used to be my #1. I love the imagery (to me it is associated with the Hawaiian word for "sea" - kai).I think it would seem forced as a nn for some other name. It's perfectly fine on its own.

I think it's a lovely name, I really like. I don't think it needs to be a nn for a longer name at all.

I don't like that spelling but I love Kaja (as a nn for Katherine/Katerina)

I like it only as a nn. Seems trendy as a full name.Katharina
Karoline / Karolina
Katriona
Katrin

It's okay, but it is awfully close to Maia/Maya. I would prefer it as a full name.

I think Kaia is very pretty, and is just as capable of standing on its own as Maia. There aren't many longer names that this would make sense as a nn for.

I love it (KIE-ah), but prefer it as a nickname for Katherine or Katarina. It's a little insubstantial alone.
