Re: Judith and Adeline
in reply to a message by Siri
Judith sounds like a morally strong person; someone who would risk their saftey for others in time of crisis. Judith makes me think of a silent but deep thinker. Judith may not be queen of the prom (in my imagination), but she's mature enough to know it doesn't really matter anyway. Still waters run deep. Judith makes a refreshing alternative to cutesy names like Kylie and Kaylee.Siblings for Judith? Miriam, Virginia, Frances, Abigail, Augusta, Mara, Eleanor, Claudia, Regina, Rosamund, Ellen, Rebecca, Hope, Margaret, Charles, Robert, Gabriel, August, Magnus, Gideon, Isaac, Mark, Edmund? Adeline is sweet. But the song "Sweet Adeline" almost always pops into my head, so the "-line" pronunciation is the one I naturally give to it. But I do like the "-leen" pronunciation too.

Bear, you hit the nail on the head. That's exactly why I love the name so much. I also love the names you listed - especially Miriam, Augusta, Mara (which no one else seems to like!), Elinor, Rosamund, Hope, Margaret, Gabriel, Charles, ZIsaac, Edmund, and August - almost all of them. Thank you!
