I had an uncle
once, through a now-ended marriage, whose name was Dick Ball. That's not quite as bad though.
Anyway yeah I don't see Dick as namey very much, I know a respectable old man who has Dick as an occasional nickname for Richard, and it always startles me and makes me cringe slightly to hear him addressed that way.

No way!I have a professor, first name William, who has a brother, first name Richard. They go by Bill and Dick. With last names they're Bill Ball and Dick Ball, the most unfortunately named pair of brothers I've ever seen.Never figured there'd be another one out there. :-D

I was once reading...A site about serial killers, and one SK, back in the fifties, specialized in shooting truck drivers and stealing their rigs and property. One of his victims was a gentleman named...Harry Pitts.
