Loretta
I was watching a biopic of Loretta Lynn/Web the other night, and her name struck me as unusual, but kinda pretty. Not something I would use perhaps, but I appreciate pretty names when I hear them. WDYTO the name?

I've heard of it before. My cousin's second middle name is Loretta. My friend's car is named Loretta the Jetta ;)

To me it has a really countrified, hayseed air, and I don't think it's just because Loretta Lynn is a country singer. I knew a Loretta once, and she was not at all a hayseed, but that didn't help shake the image for me.

Monty PythonThat's what I think of.Life Of Brian. Stan who wants be a woman and be called Loretta.I had it as a signature for long enough, here:
I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me 'Loretta'.

It will always be my first thought (same with Brian (or Bwian) :) ).

I like it. It's a bit too old-fashioned for me, but I still think it's a pretty name. Probably because when I was in elementary school my teacher's first name was Loretta and she was always really nice to me. And I much prefer this spelling to Lauretta.
