Euan?
What do you think of Euan? It's a new favorite of mine.
I love both the sound and look of it.
The only problem is that I pronounce it like Yoo-an/Yoo-in but according to the database it is pronounced like O-in or Yo-in. How do you say it and do you think I could get away with my pronounciation?

Don't like it but I do prefer the Yoo-an pronounciation.

I've really been liking it lately, though I prefer the spelling "Ewan" (which I pronounce "yoo-in" or "yoo-an"). As for Euan, I'd probably pronounce it the same way that you are.

I absolutely love the name Euan and am thinking of it myself for a future son of mine. I definitely pronouce it YOU-in! Go for it!

I know that both Euan and Ewan are pronounced as YOU-in, though there may be alternate pronounciations as well that I'm not sure of. I'd just never noticed this site didn't have those pronunciations listed as such. :-/ I love Euan and Ewan, but prefer the latter spelling--blame Mr. McGregor for that. ;)

My little brother is called Euan. My Mum wanted Ewan and my Dad wanted Eughan, or something like that, so they compromised and got Euan, pronounced "you-an"

People here regard Euan just as a variant spelling of Ewan, pronounced exactly the same e.g. Tony Blair's son is Euan Blair pronounced you-an (although that namesake might be enough to put you off lol) Personally I prefer that spelling too.

Euan to me looks like OO-in, while Yoo-an/Yoo-in is Ewan to me. I prefer Ewan.

If you like the you-an pronunciation I would spell it Ewan. It's a nice name, though I do prefer the yo-in pronunciation, but spelling it Ioan.

I pronounce it like you do. I like Euan, but I think I like Ewan a little better.
