I think they are a bit over the top, but if you like them, then by all means. I like Kairo better as a name, but as a boy's name. Kind of a twist but not too kry8tv..:)

I can't say I'd use them, but I like Hatshepsut nn Hattie and Cleopatra nn Patty. I do like Nefertiti.

I like Nefertiti and Cleopatra, but I much prefer Kleopatra (because Latinized transliterations of Greek names bug me). Hatshepsut is ok, but it isn't all that pleasing to my ears.

I don't like Egypt as a name. As for Cairo, its Arabic roots are entirely masculine, so I don't like it for a girl at all. Pharaoh is a title and position of power, not a name to me like King or Queen.

Nefertiti, Cleopatra & Hatshepsut, - I love all these names and think that they would make interesting middle names, though personally I would never use them as first names they have been used,I knew a Cleopatra and a freind had a distant cousin called Nefertari which I really like.
Cairo and Pharaoh I have seen examples of these names but only boys, I dislike them for either sex but would prefer them for a boy.
Egypt to me is a country not a name I cant really picture it for a boy or girl.
Oh and I like Hazel for a boy

I know a Cleopatra (FN) and she goes by the name Patra.

Hatshepsut is one of my favorite names for a cat (nn Hattie or Hot Stuff, lol) and there's a part of me that thinks it would be cool as a middle name for a person.

(I watched the show about Hatshepsut on Discovery last night. I've been interested in her for a while. :) )

I think all three are usuable as a MN, as a FN I could only see Cleopatra, since it would probably get shortened to Cleo anyway.

Nefertiti - I like this but I would never use it. It is the name of a female genital piercing (yick) but then again so is Christina and Isabella and those get used all the time. I only know that because I was into piercings for a while and looked a lot of them up. (Yick.) Nothing I would consider doing but at least I am educated should anyone need any info, LOL
Cleopatra - I think this seems the most like a modern day name, and the fact that it is the most well known might either help it or hinder it depending on your viewpoint.
Hatshepsut - Really like this one as a MN. It would need the perfect FN, and I really can't think of what that may be, haha.
Egypt - I like this, I could see it on a girl or boy
Cairo - This is on my list. I think it's unisex also.
Pharaoh - Very different. Very you. I wouldn't consider it, but I would be very interested in meeting a little Pharaoh. I think even though Pharaohs were normally male, this would only work on a girl because it would be really pretentious on a boy, and the soft F and O sounds strike me as feminine.

Cleopatra was hardly a pharoah, she ruled almost 300 (or 3000? I can never remember) years after the pyramids were built, and her family was Greek.

I quite like the history of Hatsheput and Nefertiti, and I must admit I like the sound of Cairo.
