WDYTO Valentine for a girl? For some reason I really like it, I keep coming back to it.

Valentine is a girl name only in my culture.
It is ok for a girl with the French pronunciation, otherwise it's too masculine for me.
If you're pronouncing it va-law(n)-TEEN, I think it's pretty, but prefer Valentina. If you're pronouncing it like the day with glittery construction papter hearts and crappy candy (ie, if you're pronouncing it VAL-en-tien), no. It's a boy's name.
As Mel said, it's pretty cheesey if you give it to her because she was born on said day with construction paper hearts. Can you imagine growing up named Valentine with your birthday on Valentine's Day? Yikes. (Same reason I can't stand Noel/Noelles born on Christmas. A subtle nod is okay though I don't care for it, but I find that tacky.)

Also, do you pronounce it VAL-en-tien or val-en-TEEN? I can't decide which one I prefer...
