Benjamin
So I'm stuck reading The Sound and the Fury for a class, and since I really dislike Faulkner, I decided to ponder the names rather than the story. Anyway, I really like Benjamin. It used to be on my list a long time ago, but then I decided that it was too boring, but I am again drawn to it -- it's simple and handsome.
WDYT? Combo suggestions?
+ Yes, the main character's NN is Benjy, but I wouldn't use that. :)

Benjamin... nothing wrong with it, but it is a bit boring. If you ever use it, make sure you pair it with something a bit crazier. Benjamin August? Benjamin Claudius? Who knows.
Benjamin is in my top 10 favourite boys' names. I completely agree that it's handsome. I love the nn Ben.

I like it a lot. I normally don't like names in this category. But this one is easily liked by all. I like the Jamin part, it gives it a kick after Ben, which is really nice. I'd use it if it were my style.

I love Benjamin. I really like it with traditional names.
Benjamin is a very handsome name, classic and timeless. I don't think it's too boring if paired up with just the right spunky middle name.

I've always liked the combo Benjamin Owen. My mom came up with it 19 years ago when she was pregnant with me because she didn't know if she was having a boy or girl.
P.S. - My english teacher in high school hated Faulkner. She had this picture of him on the wall and one day when she said, "I hate Faulkner!" and the picture literally flew off the wall and hit her on the head! No joke! It was hilarious!

I really like the name Benjamin, especially with nn Ben. My little cousin's name is Benjamin James and I have 2 friends, Benjamin Ryan and Benjamin Daniel. They all go by Ben.
I love Benjamin, always have. My best friend in Oklahoma's oldest boy is named Benjamin, he's nine and is a very nice kid. He goes by Ben, and that's the nn I'd use. Benji/Benjy (I seem to recall the main caracter's name?) is sickly-cutesy and sounds like a dog's name.
BTW: I had to read some Faulkner for school and I hated him too. He's the only writer I know of who can make a story about a bear-hunt into a huge, crashing bore.
