I like it a lot. If you are going to pronounce it as are-ee-el, then I would use this spelling. I do prefer Ariel though (air-ee-el).

I, personally, prefer Ariella (my top favorite girls' name), but nevertheless, I think Arielle is a very pretty name (I love this pronunciation...so much nicer than "air ee uhl" imo).

love it.
I have a niece called Aryellah (pronounced like Ariella)
and while I personally prefer the simpler spelling it is a very beautiful name for a beautiful little girl.Arielle is beautiful to and I think its a bit less frilly for those who prefer less frills!

I love your niece's name, though, I, too prefer the spelling Ariella. It's my top favorite girls' name (has been for quite some time). It's gorgeous and so underused imo.

No.Arielle is French, Ariel is Hebrew. Ariel is unise, and I believe it was originally masculine (correct me if I'm wrong, please), whereas Arielle is only feminine. Ariel is a mermaid, Arielle isn't. The prn.s vary with the spelling. Arielle is lovely, and I think it's just as perfect as Ariel, only different.
