Alexandra?
What do you think of Alexandra as a first name? I have always loved it as a middle name but I'm now liking it as a first name also. Thanks for your opinions :)

I love it as a first name. One of my faves. And it goes well with all of your other favourite names, should you have opportunity to use the rest of them!GeorgiaPhoebe: Put your face in the hole, ja.
Rachel: Wow, a Swedish massage from a real Swedish person.
Phoebe: Then I am Svedish, ja.
Rachel: So what’s your name?
Phoebe: It’s a normal Svedish name…Ikea.

I love it. It's classic and timeless. Unfortunately all Alex names are out if I end up having a baby with my boyfriend some day, as he has a friend named Alex. Which is too bad because both Alexandra and Alexander are favorites of mine.

I love it-it's one of my favorite names. Classic, elegant, but fun too. Lots of cool nicknames. Really a perfect name! My DH has a cousin Alexandra and she goes by the full name.

I love it; I think it's a classic. It's not nearly as trendy as Alexa/Alexia and not as trashy as Alexandria.

It's ok. It seems like it's been used so much lately that it's lost some of it's appeal.

I like it as both a first name and middle name, depending upon the first and middle name choices and surname that would go with it.

Of course, I love this name. I like the spelling and the pronounciation and that it is a classic name. But it seems to me that the name has become popular the last time and I hope that it won´t be overused. If you like it than you should go on with it. It´s great as a fn and mn.

Not another Alexandra!Though I do love the name (as I am an Alexandra), it generally shows a lack of creativity on the parents' behalf. What with the name being so popular, as well as other Alex- names (Alexis, Alexander, etc.), any child with the name feels a little bit less 'special'. Trust me, it's very annoying being referred to as 'the female Alex', 'the brown-haired Alex', 'Alex in Year __' etc.

It's a nice name, I like it. I too really like it as a mn, but I also love it as a fn. Either way is fine with me.

I like the name Alexandra but you can't nickname her Alex. I hate that name. I much prefer the name Alexander for a boy though.

I love it, but I wouldn't use it because Alexander is my favorite boys' name.

I love the name Alexandra as either a FN or a MN. I really like the combination Alexandra Kathryn Cecile. I think it's a very feminine name, very classy, and it ages nicely as well.

It is a nice name. A bit too popular for my taste but I like that it is classic and not trendy KWIM? Plus it has many variations so when your DD is a teenager she could pick her own "flavour" so to speak LOL!Steph
