Lorelei or Lorelai?
My best friends due in a week and she still hasn't decided on a spelling. So, do you like Lorelei or Lorelai better?
Thanks!

Lorelei is definitely the correct spelling. Lorelai is the "Gilmore Girls" spelling. So if one wants people to assume they were obsessed with that show or named their child after that character, then that would be the spelling to go for.

LoreleiThis is the traditional spelling ad if she doesn't have overwhelming feelings in favor of Lorelai I would stick with it, to avoid confusion if nothing else.

Personally I like Lorelai better. To my eyes, that one is the easiest to pronouncea at first glance, even though I know they are both right. Lorelei or Loreley look like they are pronounced loh-reh-LEE instead of loh-reh-LYE

Lorelei is nicer, IMO.

I only like the spelling Lorelei for this name.

Although Lorelei is the more traditional spelling, *I* would probably choose Lorelai just because that's how it's spelled on Gilmore Girls and I just love the character. But unless the character is the reason for the choice of the name, I'd go with the original Lorelei spelling.

Lorelei is better in my mind. but Lorelai doesn't look bad either.

Personally, I'm leaning towards Lorelai. I just like it.
