I love love love this name! Although I'm biased because it is my name! I was named for my Granny. Everyone has referred to me as Joanie since I was born, but sometimes I like to be called Joan because I'm the only one my age with this name (I'm about to turn 19). The only thing I hate is that some people miss pronounce my name and they call me Jo-Ann.

It's my mother's mn, therefore, I accept it. Not a favorite though.
To state it simply: I love Joan. :)
Joan was the name of my favorite aunt. I lost her recently so I'm biased. But I've always loved the name, especially the nn Joanie.
My aunt was named Joan Valentine (born on Feb. 13th). Joan Margaret is my favorite combinations with it. Have you thought of any mns that you would like to use?

I love Joan! It's a very pretty, strong, classic name. Underused and great.
Then, I like pretty much all "John" names. John, Jane, Jean, Joan, Jeanette, Johanna, Jack, Hans, Johann, Ian, Janet, Janice, etc. are all met with much approval.

I love Joan with its short simplicity, I would like to use it as a middle name.
