Golden?
There is an actress named Golden Brooks, and for some reason I'm oddly attracted to Golden maybe because it gives really beautiful pictures of golden trees, apples, and butterflies. What’s you opinion on Golden? (for the record I’d never use it)

Goldne Brooks sounds like...Golde Books, the children's storybook publisher.I have to say I also hav ea dirty mind, so Golden as a name is a no-no.

I was going to say Golden Brooks sounds like a stream (a literal one) of urine, so I'd say you weren't far off with your 'dirty mind' probably. ;)

I'm sorry to say I have a dirty mind.I see Golden, and while I do first thing of pretty things, I then think of...not so pretty things. Namely sexual kinks, and I'll leave it at that.I'd really like to like it, but I can't get past the connections my mind makes. :-/Array

I agree. I think of Golden showers, amongst a lot of other teasing possibilities. Not that the average 5 year old playground bully would know these things (or atleast we would hope not) but you know people like us will have them pop in our head. :)

OMG that had never crossed my mind thanks for pointing that out.

LOLI see where you're going with this, and that's probably why I immediately thought Golden would not be a nice name. ;o) As I commented below, I'd LOVE to think of golden sunlight dancing through the trees, but my mind insists on going other places first!

Golden...retriever. Golden...rod.I wish I had the golden trees picture in my mind, but alas, I do not. I don't *hate* this name, but I certainly don't see the appeal.

I would much prefer Golda. Golden may have good associations, but it looks tacky.

I like it as a middle name for a boy. I don't think it's a good first name but I agree with you that it gives you some really nice associations.
