How do you pronounce and WDYTO
Saira?
Not for a child, but for my car. It's a cranberry 2000 Saturn like this one: http://www.pedaljammotors.com/2000-saturn.jpg Yesterday was Name your car day, but I'm cheating just a little ;)
Saira means traveller, too, so I thought that would be cool.
So how do you pronounce it? I'm saying it something like Sarah or maybe SYE-rah.

Well, I would say Sarah.
But I suppose the correct Arabic prounciation would be SYE-rah.

If I'd saw it I'd probably say it something like SARE-uh (pretty much how some people say Sarah, which I tend to say like SA-ruh). I prefer the pn. SYE-ruh though, as Chriss mentioned. But, like I mentioned before, at first glance I'd be inclined to say the former.
I actually said Sarah when I read it but I expect it is really pronounced SYE-rah
SYE-rah, imo.... Because it's Arabic and not English...
I think it's lovely!
Even for a child.
