Sparrow?
Okay, after seeing "Pirates of the Caribbean" I realized I really liked the name Sparrow... for a girl. It would probably be a middle name, but I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, What are your opinions on it, and why/why not would you use it? Also here are some combos I made, WDYT?Isla Sparrow
Sparrow Calypso (then I realized the 'O' ending on both.. then I realized the Pirate's connection)
Winter Sparrow
Sparrow JadeCan you help me come up with some combos? To give you an idea of my style, here are my top combos for each gender...
Caspian Aragorn
Caspian Blaise/Blaze
Jonas AragornWinter Eowyn
Galadriel Maeve
Isla Soccoro
Calypso JadeThanks!

Yes Sparrow is very sweet. I could even see it as a fn.From your list, I love Isla Sparrow. In general I don't like to see two nouns / words combined as they generally feel more like phrases than names. So Sparrow Jade and especially Winter Sparrow are non starters for me. I can't take the name Calypso seriously and the connection with Sparrow and Pirates make you look like a crazed movie fan. I'm hesitant to suggest combinations. I've offered them in the past and gotten no response either way. I'm not sure you even read them. But for what it's worth:Jada Sparrow (more subtle than Jade)
Jacinda Sparrow
Nina Sparrow
Viveca Sparrow (nn Vivie?)
Esme Sparrow
Freya / Freja Sparrow
Lila Sparrow
Livia Sparrow
Natalie Sparrow
Phoebe Sparrow
Imogen SparrowSparrow Eliza (though Ms. K's character's name, the Pirates associaiton doesn't feels as strong with this one)
Sparrow Kate
Sparrow Natalie
Sparrow Inez ("ee-NEZ")
Sparrow Liadan ("LEE-uh-dun")
Sparrow Maeve
Sparrow Andraste ("an-DRAS-tee")
Sparrow Ione ("EYE-uh-nee" or "EE-uh-nee")
Sparrow Phoebe Happy hunting!

Imogen Sparrow, Livia Sparrow and Jacinda Sparrow are my picks from these combos. Jacinda Sparrow is beautiful IMO.

Trust me, all your combos are always appriciated. I quite like most of the ones you've given me in the past. I'm sorry that I didn't get around to commenting last time... So I guess I'll comment today!Jada Sparrow (more subtle than Jade)- Like it
Jacinda Sparrow- Hmmm... I'm not big on Jacinda, but it does flow well.
Nina Sparrow- Nina is nmsaa... But Narnia Sparrow... Just kidding.
Viveca Sparrow (nn Vivie?)- I have a character in a story I'm writing named Vivica!
Esme Sparrow- This one is nice
Freya / Freja Sparrow- Freya is okay
Lila Sparrow- Oooh! this one is really pretty!
Livia Sparrow- Nice
Natalie Sparrow- Hmmmm
Phoebe Sparrow- I don't like Phoebe
Imogen Sparrow- Imogen is growing on me lately....Sparrow Eliza (though Ms. K's character's name, the Pirates associaiton doesn't feels as strong with this one)- I actually like this Eliza combo. I usually hate it, but with Sparrow it sounds nice!
Sparrow Kate- too short
Sparrow Natalie- meh
Sparrow Inez ("ee-NEZ")- Inez has always reminded me of a little old lady

I have always had Sparrow as a GP name. I don't mind your Isla Sparrow combo, but the rest of them are really ridiculous imo, especially Sparrow Calypso in which both names are names from the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. Just screams tacky to me. You seem to be into nature/word names, so what about these combos:Amethyst Sparrow
Sparrow Fleur
Sparrow Garnet
Yasmine Sparrow
Sparrow VioletThere are more, but since those names are typically used as names (minus Amethyst and Garnet) they don't look as cheesy. It would be best thought to pair a strange or offbeat name like Sparrow with a more 'normal' or classic name, such as these combos:Amelia Sparrow
Beatrice Sparrow
Gwyneth Sparrow
Helena Sparrow
Ingrid Sparrow
Josephine Sparrow
Eleanor Sparrow
Mira Sparrow
Ophelia Sparrow (although this one is more odd, I like it)
Seraphine Sparrow

ooooh! I like...Amethyst Sparrow (Amethyst has always been a favorite!)
Sparrow Violet!
Gwyneth Sparrow
Helena Sparrow
Mira Sparrow (I really like this one)
Ophelia Sparrow (I really, really like this one!)
Seraphine Sparrow. And you are right; the more I look at Sparrow Calypso/Calypso Sparrow the more rediculous it seems!Thank you for your suggestions!

I don't like it as a first name. Especially I don't like noun-names with other word-names because they suggest a literal phrase, which is usually too pedestrian-seeming for a name-concept IMO. I think it might be nice with a firstname that doesn't evoke a specific image. Like, from your list - Carmen Sparrow; or Tristan Sparrow. (Isla Sparrow makes me think "isle o'Sparrow." Waaay too Pirates)

I love Sparrow, for either gender. Prefering a boy slightly more. I have seen Sparrow used mostly on boys as FN.I'd use it as a MN mostly likely, but it's a cute FN.Isla Sparrow
Winter Sparrow

As a fn, it's totally ridiculous. As a mn it's bearable, but looks like it's part of the surname. The combo I prefer is Isla Sparrow, the others are too cutesy.
