I pronounce it as EZ-mae. It's more of a 'z' sound than a 's' sound. I think Violet, Millie/Milly, Celeste, Felicity, Phoebe, Gideon, Bennett, Nathaniel, Toby/Tobias and Oscar all sound good with Esme.
