Matilda
WDYT of Matilda with the nn Tilly?
Could you get away with calling Matilda Millie for short?
+ WDYT of Esme + Matilda as a sibset?

I like Matilda, but even more my daughter's name, Mathilde (prononced like Matilde, French way). We call her Mati.
It is a family name and most Mathildes in my family go by Mati or by Tilda, which I don't really like. Some use Mimi.Esme is nmsaa. On a boy though it makes more sense (Esmee would be for a girl).

I think Matilda, nn Tilly is lovely. I really like both names. I don't really like Millie as a nn for Matilda, no. Esme and Matilda make a nice sib set, although I'd prefer Matilda and Esme. I think it sounds better with Matilda first. Matilda always makes me think of "Waltzing Matilda", but that's probably because I'm an Aussie!

I LOVE Matilda; I think Tilly and Millie both work, although i prefer Tilda as a nn.
I'm not sure about Esme and Matilda as a sibset; they have really different vibes to them for me.

Love Matilda with the nn Tilly. I suppose Millie would be ok too use too.Esme and Matilda go really well together. :)

I love Matilda, but I could go without Tilly. If I had been able to talk DH into using Matilda, Milly would have been her nn, so yes, I definitely think you can get away with it. Esme and Matilda feel slightly mismatched to me, but I think it would work.

WDYT of Matilda with the nn Tilly? Love it.
Could you get away with calling Matilda Millie for short? Absolutely.
+ WDYT of Esme + Matilda as a sibset? Wonderful. They go together really well.

I don't really feel Esme and Matilda as a sibset, but I do love the name Matilda (it's my daughter's middle name.) I like the nickname Tilly or Tillie, and I think you could definitely get away with Millie as a nn.

I love it. :) I think Millie would be a fine nn as well. I don't like Esme much though and I don't think it goes well with Matilda either for some reason.

I absolutely love the name Matilda and think Tilly or Millie would work as a nickname. Esme and Matilda would be a very cute sibset.

When I was little I had a cabbage patch doll named Matilda, but I called her Tilly for short! I think the nn Tilly can work for awhile, but when the child is older, she may want to go by Matilda.Esme isn't may style, but it works well with Matilda.

I really like Matilda! My favorite nn is Tilda, but Tilly is good too. I think Millie could work.

I love both Matilda and Esme individually and together as a sibset. I don't think I'd use a nn for Matilda, but if I did, I prefer Tilly over Millie. You could get away with either, though.
