I like both. Natasha has a bit of a harsh sound, though, and I really dislike the possibility of her being called Tasha. I have a co-worker named Irina, prn. ee-REE-nah. I always thought it was EYE-ree-nah or eye-REE-nah, and she says people almost always say her name that way, but she just politely corrects them. :b

Irina is nms, but Natasha is nice, I like it a lot.

Irina is wonderful! Natasha is a nickname, so I hate it as a full name. It's also vaguely trashy where I am. It's nice as a nickname for Natalia / Natalya, though I much prefer Natalia in full.

Irina is a beautiful name, and I like Natasha as well. They make great sister names.

I love both, but I prefer Natasha moreso as a nickname.

Gorgeous. I love the repeated "ee" sounds in Irina. So elegant and slightly mysterious. Natasha will always be Natasha Rastova (sp?) to me, the heroine of "War and Peace." So romantic!

Natasha (Natalya Rostova) from "War and Peace"! I love the name because of her.

Irina is one of my absolute favourite names! I think it's so beautiful with an equally as beautiful meaning.Natasha is a fine nickname for Natalia, but I don't like it as a stand alone name.
