Laura and Caroline
Ok so, lately I have really been liking the names Laura and Caroline. Simple, yet sweet. Any opinions? Also, do you think they work well as a sibset? What other girl names do you think would match in style, and are there any mn suggestions? I know thats a lot to ask for, but I'm curious what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

I love both, because they're both delicate and pretty. I like them as a sibset. Good choice!

They don't really sound right together as a sibset although they are both wonderful names. Did you notice that they were the names of Laura Ingalls WIlder and her mother.

Yeah, and I like them all the more for it:)

I adore Laura, but not Caroline.

Funny, I've been thinking a lot about Laura myself lately. I love the sweetness and simplicity of it. It's understated and isn't overly common. If you study the SSA's listings for the last four or five decades or so, you'll notice that Laura's popularity is pretty consistent (in the 40s which may be too common for some but not for me). The mn I like best with Laura is Margaret which was my mother's name. I also like Laura Juliet and Laura Susanna, but I think anything classic would work nicely with Laura. And of course, I love Caroline. It's my dd's mn.I think Laura and Caroline complement each other very well.

I love Caroline, but I'm not big on Laura, just because every girl where I'm from is either: Laura/Laurie/Lauren, Sarah, or Katie. However... I think they go well together.Other names that could go well:Anna
Emily
Norah
Eliza
Josephine
Olivia
Victoria
Johanna
Maria
Audrey
Lydia
Charlotte
Julia
Rachel

I like Laura and Caroline a lot too. :) And a good sibset.Maybe:
Alice
Claire
Esther
Jane
Linda
Mary
MollyEh, some of those might be a little heavy.I always associate Laura, Julia, Clara, and Maria together because they're pretty, simple, well-known but distinct, classic, and pronounceable in English, Italian, and Spanish. So Laura's middle names have always had something a bit European:
Laura Minerva
Laura Ginevra
Laura Maria
Laura CeciliaI've never thought about it as short, plain, and sweet like Caroline though. I've also never really thought too much about Caroline, other than liking it. So I don't have middle names for it really.

Love Caroline. It's very beautiful. Laura's gorgeous as well, but way too common for me to ever use. I think I know about a dozen Laura's in my neighbourhood.Good as a sibset, I think.
