Christine / Kristina
I love Christine and adore the nn Chrissy. Even though I don't like the sound of Kristina nearly as much as Christine, I like how the name looks with the K, and nn Krista is so cute. I don't like Christina or Kristine for some reason. If you had to pick, and you couldn't use different nn's, which would you chose:

Christine nn Chrissy
Kristina nn KristaAnd I'd like overall opinions on the names. A lot of people I know don't like nn Chrissy so I'm wondering what you guys think. Also if you have any combo suggestions I'd appreciate it!

I'm a Christine, so naturally I see it as far and away better than Kristina.I hate the nn Chrissy, partly because it's so typically 80s trendy to me, and partly because it's what patronising older people always call me when they want to put me offside or challenge my authority at work. My nickname is Chris, and that works for me.I'm Christine Ellen, and I love that combo, but Christine works with a whole range of different names.

I'm not a fan of Christine to begin with, add the nn Chrissy, and I hate it.
Kristina nn is Krista is a little trendy for my tastes, but it would get my vote.I should add, though, my name is Kristina, and I might not be entirely objective. Still think Krista is trendy, and a wee bit 80's. :)

I love Christine. Chrissy is fine for an occasional nn.

I dislike the K, so Christine wins by a mile. nn Chrissy is fine with me too.Christine Alice
Christine Harriet
Christine Holly
Christine Lara
Christine LucyIt's hard to find a good middle name for Christine imo, nothing seems to flow very well.

Thanks, I like Christine Alice, Christine Holly, and Christine Lucy. Harriet is nms but I love the flow next to Christine!

Of the two, I'd choose Christine but I'd nickname her Christie/Christy. I don't care for the nickname Chrissy, personally.Kristina is a nice name, but I'm not fond of the "K" spelling. Had it been spelled Christina, it definitely would have gotten my vote.

I like Christine. I don't like either nickname though. And I'd be more likely to use Christian (male) or Christabel.

I love Christian as well. I might use it as a mn for Samuel oneday!

Christine's lovely. My sister's named that, but even so, I love the sound.I'd pick Christine.Although Christina is also another pretty name - and it looks a little better than Kristina.

Christine, hands down.
But I do prefer Christina... Not KristinaI don't like when people change good names, like Christina. It shouldn't have a K replacing the Ch, in my opinion.

I didn't change Kristina, it's just as legitimate as Christina. I like the Russian/German feel it has that I don't get as much from the spelling with the Ch.

I know. But I just prefer Christina so much more. Kristina is legitimate, but it is also a form of Christina.I'm that way when it comes to Eleanor... I prefer Elinor.Just do what makes you happy. :] I was just putting my 2 cents in.

Oh alright. The way you worded it I thought you ment I just changed a name around and it wasn't real. Sorry about the confusion. Thanks for your input!

You're welcome. I probably should have worded it better, I apologize! I tend to word things badly a lot.
