I really like it, both River and the combo. I love the meaning.

I think River is a great name, but don't like Lucian at all.

I like River, I don't think its "too hippy" and think it sounds much better on a boy. Lucian is a favourite of mine, too, and I think that both names work very well together. I love how you've picked out a sort of hippy, nature name and paired it up with a more traditional mn.

I love it as a middle name. I don't think I'd be able to take a River seriously.

Lucian River would be better than River Lucian, but I much prefer Lucas River, Luke River, or Luca River.

I think River is an okay name. It's not one of my favourites but I don't hate it either. The combo River Lucian sounds very nice.

I love it for a boy or girl. For Lucian it depends on how you are going to pronounce it. River Lu-see-an sounds nice, but River Lu-cian not so much.

I've always prefered River for a girl, so to me its a bit odd on a boy but I think im in a minority, I love Lucian though very nice :D

I have loved it for both genders for over 8 years. Nothing is too hippie for me. The combo is NMS.

All I can think of is a teacher at school that everyone called "rivers" because of his sweating problem.
