Don't like it:-)

Lorraine reminds me of two things:1) Quiche Lorraine
2) Lorraine, the annoying old lady character on MadTV (great character, but it ruins whatever the name had imo).

For me, the name is associated entirely with Marty's mom in Back to the Future, probably because my siblings and I watched the movie ad nauseum as children. "Lorraine, you're my density."

I like it very much. But pronounced as one does in French, though, because that's the way I hear it, as I live in a FRench-speaking community.

I love the name Lorraine, and I have done for a long time. Its becoming more and more rare these days, so if you are thinking about using it I'd say go for it. x

Lorraine is my mother's name. Lorraine Leanne. She answers to Lorraine, Lori and sometimes Rainey.I'm not a huge fan of it, I'd never consider using it, but if I did want touse it it would be in the middle name slot.

I immediately think of quiche Lorraine. I think it is rather outdated & there are prettier L-names out there.
