Caitlan
What does everyone think of this spelling for Caitlin? i always thought it looked to cluttered with two "i"'s. My cousin's name is spelled Caitlan and I've always loved it.

I'd probably pronounce it differently than Caitlin. More of a lan than a lin, obviously. Yeah, I don't really like it, but it's not awful.
Looks wrong

Agree and...
It looks as if it's pronounced 'Cait-lan' not '-lin'...

Well, my name is Caitlin (Cait), and I like it a whole lot better than Caitlan, which I've gotten as a misspelling. Caitlan just doesn't look appealing to me.
It does look cluttered with two i's, but I still like it spelled that way. The a makes it look strange to me. It causes the first a to stand out. It also would make me want to pronounce it KAYT-lan, or for some reason even KAT-lan.
I can understand why the spelling seeming more usual to you, because it is your cousins name. I always gave people funny looks when their name was Robin, as my cousin is Robbyn. But anyway, I think there are enough "funny spellings" of Caitlin: Katelyn, Kaitlin, Caytlin, etc. without getting everyone confused. I wouldn't mind Caitlan in the mn spot to honour your cousin, but Caitlin is overused enough as it is without its many spelling variations.
