Olesyia?
I heard the name "Olesyia" while watching television with my little siblings this morning. It was the name of a cast member on High School Musical 2 which is my least favorite movie of all time. Anyway, she pronounced it oh-LEE-see-ah. I had never heard it and actually thought it quite pretty. What do you think?

It's actually Olesya like Array said. One website I looked at said Olesya is a Belarusian name meaning "forest, woodlands." I'm sure the name is not pronounced that way in Russian (where she is from).
I could be wrong, but I seem to remember hearing that it's a nickname and not a given name. It sounds more Ukrainian than Russian, and rather sounds like a peasant name.
I have to say I don't care for it. Visually, I think it's too close to Olestra, the fat-replacing food additive with unpleasant side effects.
The spelling doesn't make sense to me--Olesia, Olesya, Olesiya, even Oleysia would make more sense. Are you sure it's S-Y-I-A?
I don't care for the name, either way. Reminds me of lesions, and sounds a bit to much like Alicia.

Yes, they flashed her name on the screen and I did a double take! I thought her name was Alyssa or Olivia, and it really suprised me to see this name.
